About the Llewellyn Researcher

This site consists of a Blog and a set of pages I call the Archives.

The Blog consists of a series of posts (articles) that I have researched and written. They are available under the Home menu.

The Archives is a collection of pages an old genealogy service that was called MyFamily.com that Ancesrtry.com shut down about 2014. This Archive was essentially the "Llewellyn/Lewellen/Lewallen/etc." forum.

The Archive contains 1500+ pages of discussion and photos along with the original forum comments from many of our older researchers, some of whom are no longer with us. Also, it contains nearly all of the Llewellyn Traces newsletters. The first newsletter was published in 1989 and the last was published in 1997.

There are several ways to search the Llewellyn Researcher:

The Magnifying Glass icon appears on every post or page and is a way to search the posts for a particular name or location. However, it does NOT search the Archive.

The Archive landing page provides a simple "Google Site Search" form that searches BOTH the Blog and Archives but it is not pretty and not well integrated, but it works.

One more thing ...

This site uses a subscription model that requires no payment of any kind. By using this model we can allow members to comment on posts without getting spammed by the general public. In other words we do not have to endure the hackers trying to sell us Viagra!
