Lee Walter Lewallen, age 38 of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008.
Born in Hall County, Georgia on November 09, 1969, he was the son of Bruce and Glenda Brown Lewallen. Mr. Lewallen was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church and was a middle school teacher for six years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Lewallen was also an avid sports enthusiast, coaching football, baseball, basketball and golf. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Ada Brown and Adger and Monteen Lewallen.
Survivors include; daughter, Caroline Glenda Lewallen of Savannah, GA, and parents, Bruce and Glenda Brown Lewallen of Clarkesville.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Dr. Jerome Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Grady Walden officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Clarkesville Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 667, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
