Floyd Lewallen       Dies Sunday in Homer
Floyd Lewallen, 89, Banks county retired farmer, former representative and senator in the General Assembly of Georgia, died Sunday at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Grover Rylee, in Homer, following a short illness.
He was born in Banks county on May 2, 1865, and was a member o£ the Webb's Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewallen celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on February 7,
Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Webb's Creek Baptist Church, the Rev. Wyatt Gilbert, of Lavonia, officiating. Interment was in. the churchyard.
Little - Ward Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
In addition to his wife, Mrs. Ida Clark Lewallen, he is survived' by four sons, Oscar Lewallen, of Route 1, Commerce; Homer Lewallen, of Athens; Floyd W. Lewallen, of Asheville, N. C.; and Cliff W. Lewallen, of Homer; a daughter, Mrs. Grover Rylee, of Homer; and 13 grandchildren.
