Note:   there was a Francis Luallen in the 4th Regiment (Booth's) Georgia Militia War of 1812.   Who was he?



BANKS COUNTY

1860 - Census shows:
 Middle River Post office:
Willilam Browning 55, Elizabeth Browning 43, Rebecca Browning 14, William Browning 12, Sarah Browning 9, James Louallen 9, Wyly Louallen 6 (See Habersham and Franklin Counties.   These Louallen children were sons of Joseph Lewallen's   and Elizabeth's. They are shown in the Banks County 1870 census as Browning

1860 - John David Lewallen born, son of John L. Lewallen who died in Banks County.   (Descendant has had a DNA)

1869 - Jesse G. Lewallen married Eliza Miles in February

1870 - Census shows:
   Golden Hill District, Hollingsworth Post Office, page 326, dwelling 246:
   Mary Lewallen 72 female white keeping house, born South Carolina; Mary Lewallen 29 female white keeping house born Georgia; Parmelia Lewallen 6 female white born GA, Henry R. Lewallen 4 male white born Georgia, Doctor F. 8 male white born Georgia.

1882 - Perry Lewallen died.   His wife was Rebecca who said he was in the 24th Regt of GA, enlisting 1861 and serving until 1865.

1932 - Jesse Lewallen died.   He was born in Hall County, GA

1984 - Obit - RUTH NAOMI LEWALLEN KAISER Mrs. Ruth Naomi Lewallen Kaiser, 69, of Marietta, passed away Friday, July 27, 1984. She was born in Banks County on June 24, 1915, a daughter of the late NOAH LUMPKIN and Ruthie Sheridan Lewallen. In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband George Emory Newsome; husband Ed Kaiser; sister, Alma Arrowood; brother, Johnie Tatum Lewallen. She is survived by daughters, Ruth Virginia Karolyi, Smyrna, Betty Jean Reynolds, Frances Phillips, Marietta, Eva Brown, Mableton; son, Noah Eugene Newsome, Doraville; stepmother, Lillie Wood Lewallen, Baldwin; sister, Mary Etta Norton, Toccoa; 12 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 29, 1984, at the Concord Church of God in Smyrna, with Rev. Gross officiating. Music by Steve Darmonady. Interment was in the Georgia Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marietta, GA. Castellaw Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.





CARROLL COUNTY

1841 - Rhoda Lewllen married Aaron Smith.
(from GenForum posting)   Aaron Smith (1812-1882)was born in Franklin Co., GA in 1812. Married Rhoda Lewallen (1824-1894) on July 22, 1841 in Carroll County, GA. Had the following children: Henry Gains Smith; Gabriel Smith; Caroline Matilda Smith (b. 1848); Robert Greer Smith; Richard Smith; Bennet A. Smith; Nancy E. Smith; May Josephene Smith; Philda Missouri Smith; Aaron Joseph Smith (1864-1934) who married Georgia A. Sims Oct. 30, 1882; Ransom M. Smith and Evaline Sarah Smith. They lived in Carroll County until about 1887 when they moved to Cullman County. I have most of the children of these children with birth dates. Aaron and Rhoda Smith were members of the Poplar Spring Primitive Baptist Church which is about 4.5 miles north of Bowden, Georgia in Carroll Co

1850 - Census shows Worthy Lewallen 47 SC, Elizabett 46, Jno 21, Reuben 19, Mary 15, William 12, Jas. 10, Scott 7 and Taylor 3



FLOYD COUNTY

1850 - census shows Isaac Fluellen age 66 born North Carolina, Rachel 65 South Carolina, Bathsheba 43 South Carolina and Catherine 9 Georgia



FRANKLIN COUNTY

1784 - Isham Young transferred 575 acres to Walker Richardson.

1789 - ca.   Rebecca Clark was born.   She married Abednego Llewellyn Jr and died in Hopkins County, Kentucky 1852 at age 63.

1806 - Joseph Lewellen from Spartanburg District, South Carolina, was here by this year because his daughter Tabitha was born, however, no Lewellens or variation of the name showing in Franklin County for 1810, 1820 census.   See Habersham.

1842 - Martha Lewellen had died prior to this time and Joseph Lewellen married Elizabeth Watson on 14 Jul 1842 in Franklin Co, GA.   Joseph was 79 (born ca 1763)   at the time and and Elizabeth was only 28.   See Habersham County for 1850 census.  



HABERSHAM COUNTY

1820 - Jonathan and Joseph Luellen in census on same page with Allen, Cagle, Hudson, Tenel?, Taney, Martin, Stevens, Jenkins, Wright, Joseph Wofford, Rebecca Jones

1850 census shows:
   Joseph Lewallen 87 (1763) North Carolina
Elizabeth 34, P.E. 7 (female); KW 4, FA? 4, J.B. 3.   On same page was Edward Herrin 38 and Emeline 30, and a Morris family.
   John Lewallen 55 (1795) GA, Mar__ 22, John 25, Abel 22, Anna 20, Priscilla 2, Milly 4, Julia 1   (John would have been Joseph's son from his marriage with Martha.)

1860 - Prior to 1860, Joseph Lewallen died and Elizabeth married William Browning.   She is shown in Banks County 1860 with her Lewallen children (see Banks)

1872 - Jonathan Lewallen (b 1795 Pendleton Dist SC) died .   His wife was Sarah.   They're shown 1820 and 1840 census for this county.




HALL COUNTY

date unknown - Jesse Lewallen born.   He died 1932 Banks County GA




JONES COUNTY

1820 - William Flewellen was in the census

1828 - James Thweat Flewellen was born Nov. 8, son of William and Mary (Thweat) Flewellen who lived at Clinton, Jones County.   James died Feb. 24, 1889 in Washington, DC




MACON COUNTY

1822 - ca.   James and Elizabeth (Person) Flewellen moved from Alabama to Macon County.  

1829 - James Flewellen died.   His widow and children moved to Monroe Georgia




MONROE COUNTY

1830 - ca.   The family of James Flewellen moved to this county.   (See Macon County)




PUTNAM COUNTY

1820 - Alexander Flewellen shown in census




SCREVEN COUNTY
Created 1793 from Burke and Effingham

1802 - ca Sarah Young, daughter of William and Mary (Henderson) Young was born.



UPSON COUNTY

1846 - Joseph Calvin Flewellen was born.   He lived and died in Smith County, Texas




WARREN COUNTY

1820 - Census shows Archelus Flewellen, James Flewellen and Shadrach Flewellen.   (See Halifax County, N.C. previously.

1821 - James and Elizabeth (Person) Flewellen moved from Warren to Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.

1786 to 1794.
