Mary Wallace - Jun 21, 2010 Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item Yes, Mary & Isaac are my gg grandparents. Her stone was so clear, as it had been turned downward & not exposed for many years. The pics in Shepherd Cem. were made in 1996 by a Shepherd cousin & the condition of the little cem. was some better than it looks now in more recent pics on Find-A-Grave. Mary Watts is the d/o Thomas & Lavina [Huntley] Watts. Mary is listed in many Fam. Trees as. MARY TRIMBLE WATTS based on the clerk's copy in the Wills Book in Anson Co., NC.
Whether Mary had a middle name of Trimble----or a brief mar. to a Trimble, I do not know. Virgil Huntley used the Trimble mid. name in his book on the Huntleys. [Virgil used the will info from the Book Copy of Wills in Anson Co., NC.--it is incorrect]-----copies of the the 1914 interview of Mr. Flake, by "old" John Huntley,which supply some of Virgil's info, do NOT call her other than MARY----I have a copy of the original will of Thomas Watts from the Archives in Raliegh, NC.---NO TRIMBLE NAME---clerk in Anson Co. made a goof!?
