Lewallen, Bobby Dean
Bobby Dean Lewallen, age 60 of Dardanelle, AR died Monday, September 25, 2000 at the Dardanelle Hospital. He was born June 12, 1940 in Charlotte, AR to Ernest and the late Hazel Stafford Lewallen. He was a member of the First Baptist church, a graduate of Morrilton High School and attended Arkansas Tech University. He was the Public Works Director for the City of Dardanelle, member and director of the Boys and Girls club, board member of the Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce, East president of the Dardanelle Lions Club, past sports media director of the Dardanelle Public Schools for Cable TV, was voted Citizen of the Year in 1992 and was presented the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Boys and Girls Club of Dardanelle in 1992.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Andrey Lewallen.

He is survived by, his father, Ernest Lewallen of Morrilton, AR; two daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Chris Hooper and Marci and Rick Burnett, all of Russellville, AR; two brothers, Noel Lewallen of Morrilton, AR and Troy Lewallen of Stafford, VI; a sister, Judy Oswald of Morrilton, AR and three granddaughters, Bailey and Brooke Burnett and Skyler Hooper of Russellville.

Funeral service was September 28, 2000 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle, AR with the Rev. Milton Cowling officiating. Burial was in Brearley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service of Dardanelle, AR. Pallbearers were, Dana Merritt, J. L. Martin, Kent Tallent, Bob Lyons, Pete Jones and James McClelland. Honorary were, Bob Bata Sunday School class and past and present employees or the City of Dardanelle. Lewallen, Nancy Sue
Nancy Sue Lewallen, age 59, of Dardanelle, AR died Thursday, August 5, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville, AR. She was born August 29, 1939 in Appleton, Pope County, AR to the late Obie and Letha Simpson Andrey. She retired after 15 years as customer service representative for Farm Credit Services in Russellville and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dardanelle, AR and the Deborah Sunday School Class, a homemaker and mother.

She was preceded in death by one brother, O. D. Andrey and a sister, Kathleen Hill. Survivors are her husband of forty years, Bob Lewallen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Chris Hooper and Marci and Rick Burnett all of Russellville; two sisters, Billie Andrey and Inez Stobaugh both of Morrilton; two granddaughters, Bailey Burnett and Skyler Hooper both of Russellville.

Services were Saturday at the Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Milton Cowling officiating. Interment was in Brearley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle, AR. Pallbearers were Rick Burnett, Chris Hooper, Richard Gillham, Bill Linton, Jason James and Jim Wiedeman. Lewallen, Ollie Gene Simmons
Ollie Gene Simmons Lewallen, age 64, of Plainview, AR died Wednesday, October 8, 1997 at her home. She was born April 19, 1933 in the Gumlog community to George W. Sr. and Vella Kathryn Duvall Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arthur Monroe Lewallen.

Surviving are three daughters, Carolyn Molloy and Katherine Holland born of Plainview, AR and Mary Warren of Dardanelle, AR; three brothers, George Simmons, Jr. of Bang, TX, Junior Simmons and J. M. Simmons both of Russellville; three sisters, Opal Hartwick of Atkins, Shirley Fraser of Dardanelle and Bernell Cross of Russellville; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was October 11, 1997 at the Lemley Chapel in Atkins with the Rev. Ronnie Molloy officiating. Burial was in the Bewley Cemetery.
