Zachariah Lewallen

This particular Zachariah Lewallen was probably the son of Zachariah Lewallen who's said to have been the first son of Anderson Lewallen, although there's nothing confirming Zach Sr was a son of Anderson's, at least not yet.
There was a Zachariah Lewallen in Col. McFarland's Detachment of Indiana, War of 1812. He was a Private.

My granmother, Edna Mae Lewallen, was born in 1908 in Purcell, Oklahoma. The family lived in McGregor, Texas and Lubbock, Texas after that time.
Edna's father was Nicholas Dalton Lewallen. According to my grandmother, Nicholas was born in Arkansas(not sure where). Nicholas was the son of Michael Lewallen (1839-1881) and Florence Flemming Sharp. Michael was the son of Zacharia Lewallen (1822-1909)and Nancy Robbins.

Lucretia (Lucy) Lawson-Thompson applied for the War of 1812 Pension Application
for her husband, Blagburn Thompson her now deceased husband. He served under
Captian James Tunnell's Company, Tennessee Militia. He married Lucretia Lawson,
June 1809 in Campbell Co., TN Blackburn (soldier) died in Benton Co., Arkansas
on the 4th of October 1861. Widow's pension application dated 23 Feb. 1872,
Huntsville, Madison Co., AK Lucretia Thompson, age 80. Affidavid dated 12 Feb.
1873. "We, Zachariah Lewallen and Nancy Lewallen, of the County of Madison,
State of Arkansass, say we were well acquainted with Blagburn (sic) and
Lucretia Thompson from about the year AD 1838, up to about the year AD 1855 in
Campbell County, Tennessee, and that of their children who we have know was
A.G. Thompson, Harmon Thompson, B.M. Thompson, Milly Thompson, Annie Thompson,
Sarah Thompson, and Lucretia Thompson Nancy Thompson, and Martha Thompson.
Blagburn (sic) and Lucretia Thompson left Campbell County, Tennessee to the
County of Madison, State of Arkansas. Zavchariah Lewallen's age is 51 yr. old
the 26th date of April AD 1873, and Nancy Lewallen's age is 55 yrs. old the
18th date of February AD 1873. Lucretia Thompson stated in 1873 that the
following persons had attended her wedding: Randolph Lawson, Susan Lawson,
Milly Phillips, Mary Prewitt, Elisa Lawson, James English and John and Sarah
Jeffries, all of whom were deceased in 1873 except Sarah Jeffries)
I have another researcher that says Lucretia may be the dau. of Robert and Anne
Lawson...no proof. But, Robert and Anne apparently were not at the wedding of
Lucretia, while Randolph and Susannah were.)

Written May 1, 1876 - The last will and testament of John Phillips Sr deceased as produced in open court by Harrison Reed executor &c and proven according to law in is in the words and {figue} as follows....
"....Thence southwestwardly a direct line to the line of a survey on James
McDonaldson family lived now owned by J. C.Newport thence westwardly with said
line to the line of the survey where James Newport Sr. now lives. Thence
running with the line of an old tract entry made in the name of Zachariah
Lewallen thence with the line of same out to the top of the ridge and down the
same to a corner near the gap of the ridge between my house and Ezekiel Newport
thence with the boundary line of my land around to the piece as tract
heretofore bequeathed to John W. and with the line of said tract to the
beginning which includes the special bequest of the house and the outhouses,
orchard and a part of the field known as the big field which I accept from the
provisions of this request for and dewelling the term of my wife Kissiah’s
natural life and at her death I hereby give, grant and bequeath the whole of
said tract or parcel of land last decribed as aforesaid together with all and
singular the rights privledges and appertanaces thereunto belonging as
indefeasible to him and his heirs and assignees to his and their use and
benefit forever."
