Thought I'd start a thread on Nathan Davis to see what we could collectively come up with.

Seeking Information, descendants, & ancestry of Nathan Davis b: between 1765 and 1784, d: 1822 Dallas, Lincoln Co., North Carolina. Married Jane _____ abt 1801 North Carolina, b: between 1765 and 1784. They are both listed as age 26-45 in 1810 and 1820 US Census. Nathan sold land on September 10, 1801 in Lincoln County, NC. Nathan Davis was a Baptist, a member and sometimes a preacher in Long Creek Baptist Church one mile east of the present town of Dallas, now in Gaston but then in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Known children: William Davis (1802 NC -1889 TN); Nancy Davis (abt 1804 NC - _____); John Davis (abt 1807 NC – abt 1890 TN); Elizabeth 'betsey' Davis (abt 1809 NC - _____); Sarah E. 'sally' Davis (abt 1821 NC - _____)
