Melba,

It's good to have you join us, look forward to seeing some of your photos of ancestors and hope you will share with us your direct ancestor line. Even if I already know, others do not know, so would be great to have you share that with us.

What a nice welcome, Thank you so much for inviting me to your
family web site. I know I am going to enjoy the site so much.

It is great to have you. The site owner is Billie Harris, she asked me to help out, so I have been busy. Together we can all have a wonderful site to enjoy. It is growing fast. The more the merrier, so feel free to invite cousins, post, and just enjoy.

Dorothy, thank you for inviting everyone to the site.   It takes us all to find answers to our genealogies and piece them together.

Melba, I'm glad Dorothy invited you.   I've thought of you often over the years so am tickled to have you with us.   I don't think I ever asked you, but do you have a genealogy on the Boyd family?   If you've done a genealogy on it, would you mind posting it.   The reason I ask is because my grandmother's sister married a Boyd and I loved my Boyd relatives.   My great-uncle, John Boyd, was related to Patsy Kline.   By any chance is there a connection of your Boyds to her?

I'm excited to have you...and everyone else that Dorothy has invited.

My husband's Boyds goes back to a Daniel Boyd born in washington Co. Virginia, found on the 1810 census. Troy Easton Boyd, my husband's father, born in Jones Co., TX, in 1913, his father was Andrew Slaughter born in Madison Co. Alabama in 1856, his father was Andrew J. Boyd and then the Daniel Boyd I first mentioned. I do not find a John Boyd or any mention of anyone being related to Patsy Kline. The info we have was done by a nephew of my husband and is hard to read his writing. If I do find anything on a John Boyd, I will post it for you.
