Dorothy,
Thank you for this cheery welcome to the Lewallen site. I am looking forward to looking at everything. Thanks also, Billie, for your words of welcome. I am sure i will have questions as time goes by as I try to weave everyone together.
I live in Kingston, Tennessee. My father was Basil Maynard Human. He was born in Sunbright, Tennessee, to Mary Jane Lewallen and William Riley Human. Dorothy is right: Mary Jane's parents were Campbell County and Millie Ann Young Lewallen, my great-grandparents. Campbell County's parents were John and Delila or Delilah Lewallen. It is my understanding that Delila died and John married her sister, Emely, and they moved to Texas and had two daughters and named them Tennessee and Texas. I have been trying to find out where Delila is buried. It may be in Scott County, Tennessee, or in Kentucky. Delila's father was Issac Reed, the son of John Reed, a patriot during our independence war. If anyone has any information about Delila Reed, I would appreciate it. A lot of my information has come from our cousin John's site, Human and Collateral. Some of you are members of that site also.
Again, thank you for inviting me to the site. I am most anxious to read about all my cousins in Texas and other places.
