Jenny, I'm pretty sure this is the father and mother of your Mary Jane Lewallen who married Wiett Bilyeu, providing the dates are correct. I'm not sure when your Wiett or Mary Jane were born so I'm making a stab in the dark on this.
The 1910 census for Christian County, Missouri, shows Wyatt Bilyeu who was born 1871 in Missouri. His father was also born Missouri and his mother was born Tennessee. His father may have been John Bilyeu because there was a John living right next door to Wyatt in that census and he was of the age that he could have been Wyatt's father.
Wyatt's wife in the census is shown as Jennie born 1874. The census shows her father born United States and mother born Missouri so obviously whoever supplied the information didn't know what state her father was born. There were children and if you need their names and years of birth, let me know.
GenForum had a posting by Clete Ramsey which seems to give information on Mary Jane's parents and siblings:
1 There was a John Lewallen in the Civil War from Green and Christian counties.
2. Dock Merriam Lieuallen
Usual occupation: Railroad Employment
Personal particulars: Male; White; Married
Born: 7 November 1881, Christian County, Missouri
Died: 9 January 1949, Hollister, Taney County, Missouri
Age at death: 67 years; 2 months; 2 days
Place of death: Hollister, Taney County, Missouri (Home)
Immediate cause of death: Tuberculosis of lungs
Wife: Elsie Calvin Lieuallen
Father: John Marion Lieuallen, b. Christian County, Missouri
Mother: Mother: Martha Bilyeu, b. Christian County, Missouri
Informant: Mrs. Lieuallen, Hollister, Missouri
Burial: Gobbler Knob [Gobbler’s Knob Cemetery, Taney County, Missouri], 12 January 1949
Funeral Director: R.O. Whelchel, Branson, Missouri
Based on #2 above, it would seem Dock Lieuallen was the son of John Marion Lieuallen and Martha Bilyeu, all of Christian County and Dock was born a few years after Mary Jane/Jennie. Noting that Mary Jane (Jenny) married Wyatt Bilyeu and John Marion Lieuallen married Martha Billyeu, I would think your Mary Jane would have been a daughter of John Marion and Martha (Bilyeu) Lewallen.
That posting on GenForum also gives a Thomas Lieuallen who was probably your Mary Jane's brother:
Thomas Lewallen
Occupation: Farmer
Personal particulars: Male; White; Married
Born: 1 May 1873, Christian County, Missouri
Died: 21 May 1931, Hollister, Oliver Township, Taney County, Missouri

Burial: Gobbler Knob [Gobbler’s Knob Cemetery], 22 May 1931
Undertaker: R.O. Whelchel, Branson, Missouri [There is a Whelchel’s Funeral Chapel in Branson, Taney County.]
Here's the remainder of Clete's posting which provides more information but whether on your line or not, I don't know. Can you give a little more on your Wyatt and Mary Jane and maybe we can piece this all together.
Willie (No Middle Name) Lewallen
Occupation: Farmer
Personal Particulars: Male; White; Married

Searching a bit more, I found another Lewallen brother, George Washington, listed in the Missouri Certificates of Death (1910-1957) database as George W. Lawaller:
George Washington Lawaller [Lewallen]
Occupation: Road Comm.
Business: Farmer
Personal Particulars: Male; White; Married
Born: 22 Decemberc1865, Christian County, Missouri
Died: 23 December 1949, Branson, Taney County, Missouri

Mother’s Name: Martha Lewallen
Wife: Bedia Lewallen
Informant: Bedia Lewallen
Burial: Gobler’s Knob Cemetery [Gobbler’s Knob], Hollister, Missouri

I suspect George Washington Lewallen was the undertaker who buried Jesse Lewallen in 1910, and was the Informant on John Lewallen’s Certificate of Death in 1916.
Brother James W. Lewallen died not in Taney or Christian County, but in Buchannan County, Missouri:
James W. Lewallen

In a 17 April 2000 post to this GenForum, Melinda (Mattox) Thomure notes her grandfather, “Doc Marion Lieuallen,” had brothers “Bud [John R.?], Jess, George, Willie, James, Wyatt, and Tom,” as well as sisters Sarah (Lieuallen) Wilson and Sadie (Lieuallen) Ellison.
I found Missouri Certificates of Death for Sarah Kathryn (Lewallen) Wilson and Sadie (Lewallen) Ellison, with the latter transcribed as Sada (Lewallen) Ellison:

So far, I haven’t found a Missouri Certificate of Death for Wyatt Lewallen, who Melinda (Mattox) Thomure noted in her posting. Its possible he died after 1957, died somewhere other than in Missouri, or is listed in the 1910-1957 database under some spelling that’s escaped me. There is a Missouri Certificate of Death for Wiet Bilyeu (1835-1917), a brother of Martha (Bilyeu) Lewallen. I suspect Wyatt Lewallen may have been named for his uncle, Wiet Biyeu. I’ve seen Wyatt Lewallen’s given name listed also as Wiatt and Wiett, and Wiet Bilyeu’s given name listed as Wiette and Wyett. There’s a Wyate Lewallen listed as being buried at the Spokane Cemetery in Christian County, Missouri. I don’t know if he is John and Martha Lewallen’s son. John Witten Bilyeu and Sarah Francis (Harp) Bilyeu are buried at the Spokane Cemetery, as are a number of their kin.
This appears to have been the John Lewallen’s household in Galloway Township, Christian County, Missouri, in 1880:
LUALLEN John Head of Household Married Male White 40 TN TN TN Farmer
LUALLEN Martha Wife Married Female White 30 MO TN TN
LUALLEN John R. Son Single Male White 15 MO TN MO Farm Hand
LUALLEN Sarah Daughter Single Female White 13 MO TN MO
LUALLEN George Son Single Male White 11 MO TN MO Farm Hand
LUALLEN Jesse E. Son Single Male White 7 MO TN MO
LUALLEN Thomas Son Single Male White 5 MO TN MO
LUALLEN James Son Single Male White 3 MO TN MO
LUALLEN Wiatt Son Single Male White 1 MO TN MO
There were a number of Bilyeu households (transcribed as Bylieu, Bilyew, and Bilyeu) nearby in Galloway Township, including one headed by Martha (Bilyeu) Lewallen’s father, J.W. Bilyeu [John Witten Bylieu]:
BYLIEU J. W. Self Married Male White 71 TN MD MD Farmer
BYLIEU Sarah Wife Married Female White 70 TN TN TN Keeping House
BYLIEU John S. Other Single Male White 7 MO MO MO
BYLIEU Cordelia GDaughter Single Female White 17 MO MO KY
Rooting around, I’ve found accounts that note John Lieuallen/Lewallen, father of the four Lieuallen/Lewallen men who died in Taney County between 1910 and 1949, was either Matthew John Lewallen or John Matthew Lewallen. He was said to be a son of John Robert Babil Lewallen and Hannah (Motley) Lewallen. In turn, some accounts claim John Robert Babil Lewallen was a son of Richard Lewallen and Grace (Stockley) Lewallen of Virginia. My Mary Jane (Lewallen) Jackson is reported to be a descendent of Richard Lewallen through his son Daniel (b. 1790, TN), and grandson Monroe (b. ~1824, AL).
I’m still working on a number Grace/Gracie Stockley mysteries: who were her parents; how she came to marry Richard Lewelling on 30 March 1793 in Norfolk, Virginia, well away from Richard Lewallen’s reported birthplace in Prince Edward County, Virginia; the nature of her relationship to marriage bondsman Eyrs Stockley; exactly who Eyrs Stockley was; and where Gracie ranks in the order of Richard Lewallen’s wives? Some accounts show her having children (Daniel appears to be one) with Richard Lewallen before their recorded marriage in Norfolk County in 1793. That leads me to believe she had to be at least the second wife of Richard Lewelling/Lewallen.
Then there are my Richard Lewelling/Lewallen mysteries: what evidence connects the Richard Lewelling, who married Gracie Stockley in Norfolk, to the Richard Lewallen of Prince Edward County (possibly his Revolutionary War pension application); has someone gotten Richard Lewelling and Richard Lewallen genealogical lines crossed; if Richard Lewallen was Richard Lewelling, what took him to Norfolk to marry Gracie Stockley; was he connected to the Lewelling family living along branches of the Elizabeth River in Norfolk; did he and Gracie settle in Norfolk or move to Prince Edward County and, if the latter, when did they move to Tennessee; and, was Richard back in Norfolk to post bond for his sister-in-law, Sally Stockley, when she married James Kilgore there in 1798?
While the Missouri Death Certificates Database for 1910-1957 doesn’t directly answer any of those questions, it’s fun to root around in.
I don’t know if my Arkansas-born mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother knew they had Lewallen kin in nearby Taney and Christian Counties, Missouri.
I checked variant Lewallen surname spellings -- found on this GenForum and others linked to it -- against the death certificates database with the following results:

Name Date of Death County
Arnold Marion Lewallan September 10, 1931 Barton
Note: This was a transcription error. The deceased actually was Arnold Marion Lewellen (1891-1931), a son of Stephen Lewellen and Mary Elizabeth (Yeager) Lewellen. Arnold Lewellen’s occupation was listed as “Tramp and unemployed.” Arnold Lewelln’s widowed mother Mary, born in Washington County, Arkansas, on 20 January 1858, died at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri, on 3 September 1948. She’s listed with the Lewellens below. The Stephen Lewellen (d. 27 October 1922, Joplin, Jasper County; a son of Robert and Disa Lewellen) listed with the Lewellens below does not appear to me to be Arnold Lewellen’s father.

Billie Harris - May 19, 2009
The 1900 census for Mercer County shows Jno Lieuallen age 72 (April 1828) born Tennessee. His father and mother were born North Carolina and they were married 41 years (1859). There were ten children, eight of whom were living in 1900. His wife was shown as Juriah (could have been transcribed wrong) age 55 (born Oct. 1842 Missouri). Her mother was born Tennessee and her father was born Missouri. In that household was Fred P. Lieuallen age 20 and Roy D. Lieuallen age 17.
The 1910 census for Christian County shows a John R. Lieuallen born Missouri age 46 (1864), wife Mary age 39 and Francis 18. this was probably Mary Jane's brother, wouldn't you think?
But if the John Lieuallen in the 1900 census is Mary Jane's father, then her grandfather and grandmother were born in North Carolina.
Billie Harris - May 19, 2009
I don't know if this confuses the issue or not, but take a look at the following posting for Anderson County, Tennessee. Note that Patton or Peyton Lewallen had a son named William Lieuallen and that Peyton moved to Missouri. William seems he would have been about the same age as the John born 1828 in Tennessee. This particular family moved from Tennessee to Missouri about 1840.
[NOTE: broken link]
Incidentally, I'm going to see if I can invite Clete Ramsey to this site. It seems as though he has a lot of information and he also seems good about sharing what he has.

Billie,
Clete Ramsey Is already a member on this site.

Thanks, Dorothy. Wish I'd known that earlier (I should have looked) because I e-mailed him.
Clete, if you read this, my apologies, and please help with this because obviously you know quite a bit about it.
Billie Harris - May 19, 2009
One more thing for Jenny and Clete. Do either of you know a Lieuallen, Lewallen, from this family who might do a DNA for us. If this family did indeed come from Anderson County, Tennessee, then we could sure use one to see if the family connects with any of the others who've done DNAs so far.
Jenny Rice - May 19, 2009
Billie,
Thank you for all of the wonderful information. Most of this information is new to me and i will certainly enjoy digging in! Can DNA testing be done on a female descendant? i would certainly be interested.
Thank you again,
Jenny

Jenny, unfortunately it takes a male Lewallen or Lieuallen to do the test. If you know of any who may do it, let me know. It would sure be good to get someone.
Can you tell us when Mary and Wyatt were born or about when
Clete Ramsey - Jun 26, 2009
Billie and Jenny,
My mother’s maternal grandparents were William B.P. Jackson (b. 1857, TN; d. 1911, MO) and Mary Jane (Lewallen) Jackson (b. 1861, AR; d. 1954, KS). Mary Jane was a daughter of Monroe Washington Lewallen and Mary Ann (Wann) Lewallen, who moved from Alabama to Arkansas in the late 1840s.
If I recall correctly, William and Mary Jane married (1879?) in Independence County, Arkansas.
They were in Black River Township, Independence County, Arkansas, in 1880:
JACKSON William B. Head Married Male White 22 TN NC TN Farmer
JACKSON Mary J. Wife Married Female White 19 AR AL AL Keeping House
JACKSON Martha E. Daughter Single Female White 1 AR TN AR
They later moved to Boone County, Arkansas, where my maternal grandmother, Bessie Mae (Jackson) Willey (b. 1892, AR; d. 1991, KS), was born, as was my late (and adoptive) mother.
I understand there is some confusion (centering on John Robert Babil Lewallen) about how the Lewallens/Lieuallens of Taney and Christian Counties in Missouri might connect to my Granny Jackson’s Arkansas Lewallens/Luallens.
If the Missouri and Arkansas Lewallens/Lieuallens/Luallens are connected, I don’t know if my Arkansas-born mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother knew they had Lewallen kin in nearby Taney and Christian Counties, Missouri.
I know of no Missouri Lewallen/Lieuallen men for DNA tests.
I do know of at least one Californian male Lewallen descendant of Monroe Washington Lewallen and Mary Ann (Wann) Lewallen.
Regards,
Clete

Clete, if you know of someone who will do a DNA for that line, there is a special price for tests right now, but it expires - I believe - on July 7. It's half price.
Also, check this site and scroll down to see if what we have in Independence County will help. I don't believe the Jordan and the Joseph were related. I may be wrong, but I don't think so at this point.

Jennie, have you ever heard of the Harp brothers? They are really the first of the serial killers in the U.S. and what horrible, horrible men they were and what awful murders they committed. They must have been nuts. Anyway, they had wives and one of them was a Sally Rice. I know there were Rices in the Lewallen family. I have no idea if Sally was related to them or not but what a life she was forced to go through as one of the Harp wives. Here's a little about the Harp brothers if you want to read it, but the gruesome murders almost turned my stomach so be prepared.

Terrible men.

Billie you need to give us lesson on research.
How do you find all this stuff?
Billie Harris - Jun 28, 2009
Resa, I happened to be looking at some information on the Leepers. One of the Leeper men married a widow Lewallen. The posting said he killed the Harp brothers. Since I didn't know anything about the Harps, I decided to look them up and did a Yahoo search. Obviously from what's written, the Harps were killed by more than just one person and Leeper isn't named. He may have been one of the posse that killed them though. But as I said, the murders they committed turned my stomach.
I wish I had more time for research. I love doing it. It's like solving a good mystery to me and I think if I had my life to live over, I'd want to be a police detective.

Jenny, check this posting and scroll down to Christian County and then to Taney County. It's obviously your John Lewallen and it appears his mother's name was Hannah. John's father died about 1848/9. Since the first child was born in Tennessee, that's where he and Hannah were married more than likely. It does show they moved to Arkansas for a year or two and from there to Missouri. Don't know if you have the information or not, but it does provide information on John's siblings.
