regarding Shep cemetery, the one near the Casey farm on 277 is being attacked by Hogs.   I went out there 2 weeks ago and a few of the graves were messed with.   It might do some good for some one to drop by from time to time and take a look around.     Walked around Venitas just to make sure no one messed around there.   Its all still standing, and beautiful.

As everyone probably knows by now, I'm a big advocate of recording information from cemetery markers and providing that information somewhere to be kept, whether a local library, a genealogical library, or posting it on the internet.   Not only are there animals that destroy markers, but there are also vandals that do.   Many grave has been vandalized and markers not replaced after they've been broken so having the information somewhere is important.

The Shep Cemetery has been recorded and is online.

Why is there a private cem all they way out there in shep. . . and what does that even mean anyway. . .

I would like to think that vandals wouldn't go all they way out there to get their kicks.

Ross, I'm going to drive over to the cemetery right now and see if the hogs are still coming around. my husband made a pen to catch the wild hogs in and caught one and it got away.
