Does anyone have Scott County and it's Mountain Folk?
Of coarse my main lines are Lewallen 4 different lines. Pemberton 2 lines. Also, Thompson, Buttram, Reed, Logan, Goad, Young, Todd, Miller, Russell, Hatfield, and Morris. These people are my Scott-Morgan Co. ancestors. I sure I have missed a few.
Do you think did book will be valuble to me??
Also, I think there was another Scott Co. book that was recomended. ?????
I have Dusty bits of Forgotton Past and Scott Co. Families and Scott Co. cemetery book.

No I sure don't but I am also connected to the Reed line and I have a CD full of old photos from Betty Rose (Reed) living in TN now. Her dau made it for me.

My uncle Donald Todd, was the Morgan County historian. He passed away a couple of years ago, before I was interested in genealogy. He was raised in Scott Co., so perhaps he shared some of his history with the Scott Co. Historical Society. What I am trying to find out is who are the parents of John Thompson and his wife Vicie Buttram are? I believe Vicie's real name was Margaret Levisa Buttram.
Vicie Thompson is what is on her grave 1825-1900
I don't know where her John was buried he was born aprox. 1822
I am totalling guessing that her parents are William Buttram and Rachel Reed.
I am guessing that his parents are Lewis Thompson and Phebe???
I do know from my grandmother that John Thompson had brothers named Elswick and Lewis.
Also, my ggrandfather was Elsic (Elswick)Thompson, so Elswick is a family name. Elsic was John and Vicie's son.
To make a long story short I am just trying to find out the parents of John Thompson-Vicie Buttram. born 1822 and 1825
Perhaps the other info may help.
Anything you can find out about I would be grateful for?
