The husband of our newest member, Pam Lewallen, said her husband's grandfather is Stanley Lewallen born 1904. In tracing the line from the information she provided, it goes like this:
1910 Census:
Dunnville, Casey County, Kentucky
HEROD LEWALLEN age 45 Kentucky (1865)
Loretta age 42 Kentucky
Lottie 18 Kentucky
James 15 Kentucky
Stanley 8 Kentucky
Ed 5 Kentucky
1880 Census:
Casey County, Kentucky:
JOHN Lewellen 32 (1848) Tennessee
Mary 38 Kentucky
Amanda E. 19 Tennessee
Herrod 16 Kentucky
William 13 Kentucky
Anderson 12 Kentucky
Phoebia 6 Kentucky
sherman 4 Kentucky
Mary 2 Kentucky
This last census shows the family moved from Tennessee to Kentucky 1861-64. From census records, there are two possibilities as to his parents:
1. The 1850 census shows a John W. born 1848 in Henderson County, Tennessee, son of Wiley.
2. The 1860 census shows a John born 1850 living in Scott County with his parents A.R. and Perliscia.
Does anyone know who this John Lewellen/Lewallen was? My guess is that he descends from "sheriff" John but those of you who know and descend from this line would know better.
Any help would be appreciated.

O.K. Just found a posting of Herod's cemetery marker posted by Dorothy. The genealogy for Stanley goes like this:
Anderson
Andrew Leutian
Harod and Phoeba (Young)
John
Herod
Stanley
But I'm still a bid confused. According to the census records, Herod is the son of John and Mary. John was born ca 1848 in Tennessee. John F. (the only John about that age in Scott County) is shown in the 1850 census as being a son of A. R. and Perliscia and not a son of Harod and Phoeba. Am I right or have I made a mistake? Sometimes my mind gets on overload.
The 1870 census for Adair County, KY shows Harrod Lewallen born 1818 Tennessee with wife Lucy and children Rufus 16 and Vina 13.
