This was all I was told about it. I'd assume they would want you to bring a covered dish like most other reunions. I don't know right now if I will be going or not but hope to.

Debbie, the Lewallen family that you are talking about I don't think is related to our family. I called one of them a few years ago and the man I talked to said we were not related. The Martin & Lewallen family reunion which is our family will be held on
Sunday Sept. 28 at the Americam Legion Post 215 in Homer, Ga. This is the family of John David Lewallen.

John Jackson's father was John Franklin Lewallen b. 1796 in Pendleton Dist, SC. He married Amelia Jackson on 15 Oct 1821 in Franklin Co, GA. Amelia was born ?? in Scott Co, TN.
This is one of those Jonathan/John things. John Franklin's older brother was Jonathan Lewallen b. 1795 in Pendleton Dist. SC. He married Sarah (Unk). Both Jonathan and John Franklin were sons of Joseph C. Lewallen b. 1763 in Ashboro, Randolph Co, NC. Joseph's first wife was Martha (Unk) b. 1768 in SC. They were married abt 1788 in SC. They had 6 children: Christine (b 1792), Jonathan (b 1795), John Franklin (b 1796), Joseph Jr. (b 1798), Worthy (b 1803), and Tabitha (b 1806). All the children except Tabitha were born in SC. Tabitha was born in GA. so it is assumed that Jonathan moved his family to Franklin/Habersham Co sometime between 1803 and 1806. I don't know when Martha died but Joseph married Elizabeth Watson on 14 Jul 1842 in Franklin Co, GA. This was quite the scandal since Joseph was 79 and Elizabeth was only 28.
