Rebecca Lewallen: Does anyone have any documentation on Rebecca Lewallen? She is listed as the daughter of Anderson Grant & Lucy Rice Lewallen, born abt 1800 in NC. One researcher on ancestry.com listed her death in the year 1894 in Brimstone, TN (no documentation). She is listed in the 1850 Census as living in the household of her brother Andrew Lewtian and his wife Malinda Davis Lewallen in Scott County, TN. She continues to be found in her brother's household in the 1860 census in Wayne Co, KY. By 1870 she is found in the Daniel Davis household in Fentress Co, TN along with Malinda. It also appears that Rebecca may have a son named Martin, born abt 1838. Since my family's DNA matched with Davises and not Lewallens, I have wondered if perhaps Rebecca is the mother of my Matthew Lewallen and that the father is part of Malinda Davis Lewallen's family.

Darlene: Maybe I've asked this question before and it's a stupid one to ask, but I'll ask again. Your Luallen DNA matches Davis. Who were the parents of Malinda Davis, wife of Andrew Lewtian? And who was the Daniel Davis that Rebecca lived with? Have any of those Davises had their DNAs done to see if they match with your line?
