Bill, thanks for the welcome.   I am a female :)   I spell my name Dayle, when I put something on the internet.   Actually spelling of my name is Dale.   (like Dale Evans)   I am just now starting on the Lewallen family.   My grt grandmother was daughter of Worthy Lewallen of Carroll Co, Ga   on the 1860 US census and he died in Cleburne Co, Al   after 1880.   My grt grandmother was Sophonia Harris.   She and her mother were living among the Lewallen in Carroll Co, GA..in 1860.   There is a very   interesting story here, but I prefer it not get on Rootsweb. and etc until Other members of this lineage is notified.   I have found some people get just enough from the above sites and put their spin on it and run amok.   I may be too cautions, better than being sorry later.   Thanks for letting me in and I'm looking forward to learning about my Lewellen, Lewallen,Lewyllne, etc family.

Dayle/Dale:   I think you'll find some of your relatives on the site.   Hopefully they'll introduce themselves and tell you about the line.

I noticed you mentioned Dale Evans.   Her son was the music director at the church I used to go to in Sacramento; his wife played the piano. ....   Just a little trivia.
