A few years ago I posted a lot of Lewallen photos and info as requested by Kathleen Lewallen to John Human's MyFamily Site. Anyone wanting and invitation to the site please send me a note and I shall send you an invitation.

Also if you have anything you would like to post to his site feel free to. It used to be quite active, and has slowed down a lot over the last couple of years.

There is also many other lines there including, Human of course, Pemberton, Young and many other connecting lines,

You all know how to find them I am sure. Just click on View beside my name and see all the postings I have made, remember there are a few pages, so at bottom check the next page to view all, until you reach last page.

Also photos posted by Margery Ray Morgan and Bev Human, & John Human have a lot of Lewallen photo and info. Of course you can also pull them up by the album, sure most of you guys on here are pros. You may even want to go through all the photos.

Go look and and enjoy when you receive your invitation. There are many photos of Kathleen Lewallen Fulwiler's life period.   Kathleen is not in good health anymore. She has a tumor on her brain. She is still fairly active I hear.

I am afraid I m not much for debating subjects though.   As I am sure you have realized by now. Sorry about that.

Got it and will go over it again tomorrow to look at the history section.   I was very, very impressed with all the photos in the Lewallen album.   What a great job everyone on there has done.

It is all taken care of, thanks.

Thank you, Dorothy, for the invitation to this site.   As an introduction to others, I am a great grand daughter of John Lewellen and Emely Reed Lewellen.   My grandmother was Tennessee Lewellen Ewing, youngest daughter of John and Emely. I still live with in 50 miles of the Texas homeplace and inherited it from my mother.   At this time, I am away from home a couple of weeks but when I return to San Angelo I will post some Texas Lewellen information and pictures.
Until later,
Venita

Venita,

Thanks so much for joining us. We look forward to seeing some of your wonderful photos too. I have seen many of them and know that you have done a great job of keeping track of history through your photos like Kathleen has. Of course I know a lot were passed down from both your mother's as well, so thank you all for taking care of them over the years. I appreciate the old photos so very much.

Billie asked me some time ago to help add to her site and now I have to wonder if she may think I am adding too much.

Whenever your ready we look forward to lots of photos from you too.

Vaneta, welcome.   I'm glad Dorothy invited you and can hardly wait to hear more from you.

You're from San Angelo.   One of my dear Lewallen cousins whom I never met lived in San Angelo.   The reason I did that Lewallen book years ago, was because I was trying to find the brothers and sisters of my great grandfather.   I knew they were from Texas, probably Bell and Fannin counties, but that's all I knew.   I went to the library and went through every telephone book in the United States to write people about their genealogies and enclosed questionnaires.   One Lewallen family lived in San Angelo and Gladys Lewallen replied to my letter and questionnaire.   Her husband, Harold, was the son of Andrew Jackson Lewallen who was the younger brother of my great grandfather, William Henry Lewallen.   Gladys and I corresponded for many, many years before she died.   Ironically, not only did we share genealogical research as a hobby, but we both painted.   She was an accomplished china painter, taught it, and took many awards, and I did oil landscapes and portraits.   She graciously sent me   three of her painted items here and I'll treasure them forever.

Gladys and Harold had two daughters (one of whom passed away before Gladys) and a son who is also an artist and somewhere around here I have a picture of him taking an award at the state or county fair with a portrait he did.

Anyway, I know San Angelo is a big place, but by any chance did you ever know of a Harold or Gladys Lewallen.   I believe their son's name is Glen (will look it up.)

Incidentally, you share a common birth date with my husband, my sister, and my husband's niece.

Welcome.   It's going to be good having you.

And Dorothy, I'm GLAD you're adding all you can.   It's postings of pictures, information, etc. that keeps the site interesting so by all means, add what you can and we all thank you.
