It says Walter and Anna were both born England.   Is that right?

I'm so glad these certificates are online.   What a humungeous help for all of us researching our ancestors.   I believe we'll see more and more things online as time goes by.

Hi Billie, I saw that too and I don't understand. When my dad gave me the cerificate he said it was wrong, Walter and Anna wasn't born in England. My great Uncle Jim signed the paper. Jim is a son to William Jasper Lewallen.

This is more proof that things can sure be wrong, no matter where they come from. I saw this and just shook my head, I couldn't believe it.

Carol Lewallen - Jun 28, 2009

Hi Dorothy, I was the same way, I couldn't believe it either.

to all who is interesting in Jasper Lewallen
my daughter visited his grave and the care taker took them to his grave as they no where ever one is buried at, beside him is a woman named Lewallen
he told my daughter the cemetery had many people in it that died of the flu in 1919
he would like some one related to buy stones and put to his grave, he said to her that you are welcome to buy a stone for him
he said there never was a stone to either grave,

My grandfather died in 1918 from the flu epidemic in Little Rock.   There's no marker for his grave and I'm glad you reminded me.   My grandmother, dad, and their three other small sons were so poor after he died that they had to live in the poor house at Prescott, Arkansas, for a while until she got a seamstress job.   It was a long shotgun type house with several families living in it.   My dad never ever talked about it and I only found out about this since dad passed away.   But   I need to see how much it would cost to get a marker for his grave so I'm glad you posted that, Margery.

William Jasper is my gg-grandfather. His daughter-in-law, Kittie May Shay Lewallen,   died of the flu the day before Wm. Jasper. I have found family information about her recently and have posted it on my blog, www.foundfamilybranches.blogspot.com. Perhaps she is the Lewallen that is buried next to Wm. Jasper? He and Kittie were given a double funeral.

Billy i have no idea the cost of a stone would be out there
but Jasper parents did not come from England
you no that for sure dont you Dorothy
for our G Grandmother did not come from England and look at the kin they was.

the death certificate of Jasper is dim and my daughter in Vancouver thinks she can get a better one as the Mormon place out there does help you in things like that
so hope she gets one
