Allen's grandmother was a Cecil and she and my G grandfather were siblings. I didn't know anything about Allen's wife Elizabeth. According to his obit below, they were divorced and she had remarried. She was referred to by her middle name Ann in his obit.
Allen Cecil Sexton, 40, of Helenwood, passed away suddenly Sunday afternoon, November 20, 1988, at Park West Hospital in Knoxville. He was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville and a former teacher and coach. He serviced as a licensed land surveyor for several years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oneida. Mr. Sexton is survived by his mother, Sadie Ellen Morrow Sexton; and his father, Malvin Cecil Sexton, both of Helenwood; one daughter, Kristin Elizabeth Sexton of Oneida; one son, Allen Brent Sexton of Oneida, their mother, Ann Sexton Coffey of Oneida; two sisters: Carole Burke of Oneida and Suzanne O'Neal of Helenwood; three brothers: Joe R. Sexton of Knoxville, Robin M. Sexton of Helewood, and John Chris Sexton of Oneida; aunts and uncles: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Huff, Mr. and Mrs. Archie A. Sexton, Mr. and Mrs. Letcher C. Sexton, all of Oneida, Mr. and Mrs. Oswell S. Sexton of Madisonville, Mrs. Lucille Gamble of Salisbury, N. C., Mr. and Mrs. James Morrow of Bishopville, S. C., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Morrow of Williston, S. C., Mr. and Mrs. John McGuirt of Bishopville, S. C.; eight nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were to be conducted at First Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, with Rev. Lonnie Eldridge and Brother Landon Sexton officiating. Rev. Philip Kazee was scheduled to sing. Burial was to be in the Sexton Cemetery at Helenwood. West-Murley Funeral Home in Oneida was in charge of the arrangements.
