I love these old pictures, Marlea, and I'm glad you posted them.   Elizabeth had beautiful features but what a gorgeous dress she must have had.   And note her choker necklace.

the choker lookes like it was jewels individually stuck to her neck lol.   Her family owned a lot of property in NY City and founded Somerset, NJ area.   They were originally from france but left there to denmark or Holland to escape religious persicution and the then traveled to America seeking those freedoms.   They were known aas Huegonauts.   One of her relatives came on the Mayflower....I can't remember which but I was able to go the 1600s on her line.

Interesting, and obviously well off if they owned property in New York City.

My Witt ancestors (Witts married Lewallens) were French Huguenots, too. I've put the Witt information on the site in the History section.   They arrived in the 1600's but not on the Mayflower

I have about 15 projects to do and I am overwhelmed with information, pictures and documents.   I am also going through chemo and trying to keep rested.   So after Christmas I will be getting back to the projects and can hopefully get the family line on here shortly after that.   With the details that is.   I promise to type it elsewhere first so I can spell check it .   LOL   My chemo brain   is causing a lot of silly stuff.   Typos that I do not even see and some on words I would never mispell.   That tells me when I am too tired to be doing anything. LOL   God Bless
