Thanks, appreciate it.   OK, now I know how she fits in, she is the daughter of Oliver H B & Emily Pemberton Miller.

She was the granddaughter of George Washington and Mary Jane Davis Pemberton. Also Granddaughter of Jacob H B &   Martha Jane Russell Miller.

I wish they would always put the maiden names on the stones along with the married name, sure would help to locate.

She was married to my cousin Archie, who was a son of John Harrison and Lydia Landrum Lewallen.

Makes sense to me now as to why she was buried in Cut Cemetery instead of Lewallen.

I haven't done a lot of research with the Lewallens because what I have is such a discouraging knot. However, what I have on Archie says he was married to Mary Irene Robbins and "unknown". And I have no Archie Leroy Jr. Can you fill me in?

Archie Jr and his twin Irene both died as infants. Irene lived to be almost a year, lacked 8 days and Archie Jr lacked 8 days being 6 monhs, when he died.

Archie Sr, was married to Ella Miller, she died February 19, 1920 and he married
Mary Irene Robbins, they had 7 children. I believe most the headstones or personal photos are posted on site.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean "discouraging knot"?

TerriLyn Young - Jun 14, 2009

Well, it all started when Frank showed up instead of William Jasper Lewallen as the head of William Jasper's family on a census record my dad found thirty years ago. Between all the names (including middle names) repeating over generations, the children born to parents not married, children being born six years after the mother of the family died (as in the case of the mysterious Vallie Lewallen --see my blog at www.foundfamilybranches.blogspot.com), my dates not matching the dates --by several years -- the dates that others have, missing children or extra children that don't show up on others' lists and little or no documentation to verify anything --either because none exists or has not been recorded in the family research. . . do I sound discouraged?. . . I've thrown up my hands every time I have opened this pandora's box! That's what I mean about the discouraging knot. My line as far as I can tell comes from Andrew Leutian Lewallen through Walter Davis Lewallen.
