Description: John Edward Lewallen son of Amos Lewallen and Nancy Bruner born 01-22-1893 in Marlin, Falls County Texas Married 06-02-1913 Magnet, Texas died Tuscola Texas 12-22-1992 his wife Lou Ella Crisp 02-11-1897 Ada Oklahoma died 01-30-1987 Tuscola Texas they are my Mother's (Dorothy Mae Lewallen) parents. Lou Ella Crisp was born on the Chickasaw Nation in Ada Oklahoma but she was actually 1/2 German and 1/2 Cherokee. During the Civil War her grandfather was captured at the battle of Helena Arkansas and spent 20 months as a POW at Fort Delaware before being exchanged at the end of the war.
