my son got this stone from the V A office as he did for several more and then put them all in
he loves doing that as he said we owed a Veteran at least a Veteran stone
he put one in that the man had give land to help build the Methodist church in Elgin Tenn and the news paper put a article in the paper about it
Barney was a relative to me and to Dorothy Young Campbell

Is there a charge to get the stones for our vets?
How do we go about getting them?
My dad is in a mausoleum, I wonder if I could get one for him?   WW2
Also my great grandfather George Todd (son of AR Lewallen1824) was in the civil war and was in Andersonville Prison.   I would also like to get one for him.

Margery Ray Morgan - Jul 16, 2009

my son got a Veteran stone for Barney he went a long time before he got a stone
my son got several Veterans   a stone and put them down

Resa
we did not have any trouble getting them we go here to the man that works for the V A he is down town and he puts it through and the stone comes in no time
we got one for G G grandfather ,Matthew Young and one for his brother Solomon
one for my brother that is buried in Ohio but the cemetery there would not let it be put there for they only allowed one stone and he had one (but not a Veteran stone ) so he said get it any way and put it at the foot of your parents grave and that is what we done
we got stones for 2 Veterans in Scott Co. and i went to the VA place there and ordered them, the V A man said you dont have enough information to get them and i said i am sure i do so order them any way and he said i will but you wont get them but they was
so dont let the V A man make you think you need all the things he says
the stones are for our Veterans and when i order one i expect to get it and they are free shipping and all is free,we have a good V A man here he even got a discharge for my brother as i did not have one i guess his wife had it

people in Scott Co told me i would not get them that the V A man was lazy but we had a talk and i had got the stones of course they was shipped to Scott Co then we went up and my son put them in
dont take NO for a answere for our Veterans suppose to have one they fought and many died for us and all we can do is see to it they have a stone
you have a choice of 2 kinds to get
