They are from Alexander Lewallen DOB 1795 North Carolina DOD July 1880 Sevier County, Tennessee. This is a Lewallen line Gina Fox is working on trying to connect to Anderson "Grant" Lewallen and Lucy Rice.

Jean, is there any chance you can post what Gina has on her line. The 1850 and 1860 censuses for Sevier County show Alexander born 1790-1800 South Carolina, not North Carolina, although we don't have any record on here yet of an Alexander in South Carolina. There was one who died 1792 in Edgecombe County, N.C. but this would be before Gina's Alexander was born. Alexander had sons John, James and Simon who appeared to have been adults since they aren't named as minors in the Will so it's possible he descends from one of them.

Thanks, Jean. I wish Gina had access to the internet. I can't seem to find the family in the 1870 or 1880 census records. Alexander is in the 1830, 1850 and 1860. In both the 1850 and 1860 it shows he was born in South Carolina, not North Carolina. Is Gina certain he was born N.C. and not S.C.?

Eugene Lewallen is a grandson of Andrew Russell Lewallen,born 1824, the son of Andrew Lewtain Lewallen the son of Anderson Grant Lewallen. I believe Eugene's father was Robert. Robert is a half brother to my gggrandfather George Todd (Lewallen).
