G daughter of William Bluford Lewallen & Sarah Jane Smith and also G daughter of Elzic Thompson & Parazidda Pemberton Thompson.
GG grand daughter of Andrew Russell Lewallen & Perliscia Ann Davis Lewallen.

MOUNT, MRS. MONA L. HAMBY, age 99, of Scott County, passed away June 27,
2006. She was born in Scott County August 14, 1906 and was a member of
the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Mount was preceded in death by parents; Joseph and Verda Thompson
Lewallen.
Husbands: Percie Hamby and Duane Mount.
Sisters: Oma Freels, Opal Smith, Sylvia Storey, and Charleen Hughett.
Brothers: Taz, Herbert, Joe Jr., and Paul Lewallen.
Survived by nieces; Clorine Losey, Linda Warner, and special niece,
Elizabeth Freels. Nephews; Arthur, Jerry and Bobby Hughett, Tommy and
Eddie Smith and Joe Storey and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 29, 2006, Schubert
Funeral Home in Sunbright from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Graveside services will follow visitation in Sunbright Cemetery,
Sunbright with Minister Stan Day officiating. Schubert Funeral Home,

Just another 6 weeks and she would have made it to 100.
Mona was my mom's first cousin. My mom, Virginia Todd Watts is the daugher of Florence Thompson Todd and Elmer Todd. Also, she is the great grandaughter of Joseph Grants Lewallen's grandfather. She called him Uncle Joe, but I'm not sure if he was her uncle of cousin, who know how many times removed?
