Description: This is the "corrected" for angle picture.

The names here are of children of Balam Eugene Lewallen (who took his mother's name, Morris).   Does anyone look familiar to anybody seeing this picture?

I wonder if the woman is Ida Bell Miller Morris.   Maybe.   Not known.   The man is definitely not her husband, Eugene.   The names of the younger people written on this copy seem to be partially correct - that does appear to be Goldie, born 1921, youngest child of Ida and Eugene, for example, but there are more people in the picture than they had children.   The gentleman in front may have been an extraordinarily rare visitor from Tennessee?

When Eugene moved his family to WV from TN, Ida Bell always mourned being separated from her family.   Her parents were Martha Jane Russell Miller and Jacob H. B. Miller, and she spoke often, my mother said, of her sister Louisa and others that she missed.

How wonderful!   Thank you for posting this.   I had never seen this before, although I have seen his death certificate.   My mother (Dave's sister) said that he went to work at the coal mine, and had a sudden heart attack just outside the mine before going in to work.

The WV Division of Culture and History has absolutely free birth, marriage, and death certificates.   Most states charge for public records, unfortunately.   Here's the link in case anyone is interested in looking up WV records:
