Mabel Lewallen Dies In Harriman - Mabel Lewallen 69 of Glenmary, passed away at the Harriman Hospital in Harriman, Tenn., Friday May 21, 1971 after an illness of eleven months. She was the daughter of the late Sam Griffith and the late Lettie Lewallen, a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors, Husband, George Lewallen of Glenmary, Tenn., two sons, Howard Lewallen of Knoxville, Tenn., Orville Griffith of Louisville, Ky., one daughter, Mrs. Georgia Parks, of Knoxville, Tenn., one brother, D. C. Griffith of Glenmary, Tenn., four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Pemberton of Sunbright, Tenn., Mrs. Nyanne Booth of Harriman, Tenn., Mrs. Florence Tussey of Cincinnati, Ohio, Miss Violet Griffith of Glenmary, Tenn., nine grandchildren, daughter-in-law Mrs. Thelma Lewallen of Robbins, Tenn. Funeral services were conducted from the Glenmary Congregational Church 2 p.m. Sunday May 22, 1971 with the Rev. Fred Thompson officiating. Burial followed in the Lewallen Cemetery.
