X.B.Bell,60,Lifelong resident of Temple died at his home, 319 South Main
Street, Wednesday at 3:20 a.m
after an extended illness.
He was born March 12,1878 near Temple and lived here since that time. He
married Miss Beadie Lee Adams, Dec.14,1898 at Waliace, Texas. He was a
member of the First Christian Church & The Central Texas Pioneers Club.
He is survived by wife, two sons, E.B. & Wilburn W.Bell of Temple; four
daughters, Mrs.Charles Smith & Mrs.G.E.Wilson of xxxxx, Mrs.Roy Lumpkin
of Beaumont & Miss Ruth Bell of Temple; four brothers, Oscar Bell of
Temple,Louis B.Bell..........Mrs.Lille Patillo of Caldwell & Mrs.Mary
Beville of Santa Anna, & four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
one daughter,two brothers, two sisters & one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Christ Evangelical Church Thursday
at 3:30 p.m. with Rev.H.C.Hoesh officiating. Interment will be at the
Little Flock Cemetery with Hewett in charge. The body will be at the
church. The funeral cortage will leave the house at 3:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are G.C. Garth, J.F.Terrell, Sol Dunlap, George W.Brock, Hub
Dale & Henry Madden. Honorary pallbearers are friends of the family.

Mrs. X.B. Bell, 56, died in a Temple hospital at 4:30 p.m. Wedneday after
a brief illness. She was born in Wharton County Aug.14,1884 & married
X.B. Bell Dec.14,1898. He died 05-18-1938. She was a member of the Christ
Evangelical Church. She is survived by two sons, E.B. & Wilber W. Bell of
Temple; four daughters, Mrs.Charlie Smith, Mrs.O.E.Wilson, Mrs.Roy
Lumpkin & Ruth Bell; one brother Louis Adams of Kingsville; & three
grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday afternoon with Hewett in charge.

Temple, Bell County, Texas, is where my William Henry Lewallen lived, as did some of his siblings, until he moved on to Arkansas.

Yes, they did and apparently they were descendants of Anderson's and of Wiley's so the families obviously were related although we have yet to find out exactly how.
I'm not certain Wiley (born ca 1795) was a son of Anderson's. He may have been but I'm just not sure yet. Wiley named a son Jesse and there are Jesses in his descendants so whether Wiley was a son of Jesse's or not, I don't know. Could be. Certainly the 1800 census shows small children in Anderson's household so it's possible Wiley was one. Or he could have been one of the small children in Jesse's household. None of the Lewallens moved with Wiley to McMinn County, Tennessee, so a guess is that he moved to that area with in-laws or other relatives. So much research on him needs to be done.
